Zhicheng Xu is an architectural designer and educator. He is a co-founder of Hyperlocal Work, a collaborative design studio that engages architecture through the lens of material ecology and cultural sensibility. The studio’s work investigates material cycles, site-specific spatial narratives, and collective forms of environmental stewardship.

He is currently an Assistant Professor of Architecture at Cornell AAP. Prior to his appointment at Cornell, he taught at University of Virginia School of Architecture, Rice University, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
